World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade
The item upgrade feature allows players to boost the item level for equippable weapons or armor. This improves the effectiveness of the equipment, and also sometimes adding buffs or the rerolling of an affix.
It is important to remember that upgrading magic and common gear isn't always worth it. Unique and rare equipment will soon surpass modernized equipment and magic.
Cost
The player must spend gold to upgrade an item. The cost of upgrading an item is contingent on its current level and upgrade type chosen. For example, upgrading a weapon will typically be cheaper than upgrading armor, as weapons have lower requirements for level. The amount of Gold required increases when the item is upgraded to a higher level.
Upgraded items will also have enhanced stats that can boost its performance in various ways. This could include increasing the power of its attack, critical strike chance, or damage per second. In addition an upgraded item might be able to give additional buffs for its equipped unit. These upgrades are able to boost the overall strength of a unit or a single unit, and can significantly impact the gameplay.
Any NPC that upgrades items can be found in the game. In general, these NPCs are located in capital cities or major questing locations. Players can also locate item upgraders in dungeons that have high-level bosses, or by chatting with NPCs in their garrisons of their faction.
The item upgrade system in World of Warcraft provides players with the ability to upgrade the levels of armor, weapons, and trinkets. This process is very similar to that of gear reforging in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor, but instead of using the currency appropriate to the task players need to visit an item upgrader NPC to complete the process.
Item upgrades can be costly, particularly when it comes to weapons and armor. Depending on the upgrade track, each step up in the level of an item can cost many Valorstones and crests. The total cost could be very prohibitive for players who do not have the funds or are unable to grind them.
Fortunately the game lets players play a reroll of an upgraded item by using an exclusive tool within the menu for items. This option will replace the upgraded item with an unlevel 1 version that has different bonuses. This is useful for obtaining better rolls on items that have been upgraded, but can be a waste of resources.
Requirements
Upgrading is the process of increasing the level of items that can be equipped such as armor, weapons and trinkets. This can boost their effectiveness and make them more effective in combat. Players can upgrade their gear by paying the appropriate currency at an NPC that sells upgraders for items. Players should be aware of the fact that certain upgrades require specific requirements.
Early upgrades increase the effectiveness of the base item by one level. Later upgrades give significant increases. For example, upgrading a weapon from level three to level six will increase the weapon's damage by plus two levels. A bonus stat will be added to the upgraded item based on the level. This bonus is a combination of a guarantee extra substat and a random statistic that can change in value from upgrade to upgrade.
Reroll Tokens can be used to reroll an item that has been upgraded. The new item will feature a different set of extra bonuses as well as a lower base item level. The rerolled item is also likely to have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to note that the item rerolled does not keep its original strength or any wasted resources.
Rerolling some upgraded items is only possible if the item was upgraded was an Epic Rare, Rare, or Unique. item upgrades can also be rerolled but the original stats are replaced with a flat-rate bonus. Rerolling item upgrades or Epic item will result in a Normal version, and rolling the Epic version will result in an elite version.
Upgraded items could have additional modifications that can enhance their performance and increase their stats. These additional modifiers are not included in the upgrade price. They can be purchased at the Trading Post, or through other players. Additionally, they can be earned through completing certain missions in the game.
To upgrade a piece equipment, you must visit the NPC [Armorto upgrade a piece of equipment, visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. You will need Power Dices depending on the item. (Dice 6 is dropped by monsters 21+, Giants and Bosses; Dice 12 is dropped by Bosses). You will also require different amounts of Minerals, Erons and Giants.
Time
Items upgrades can be used to increase the power of your ship and gear without having to level them. Upgrades aren't cheap, but they can be a great method to boost your stats without having to spend so much time in battle. It's important to know the cost and benefits prior to making the investment of time or money.
Each upgrade increases the base stat of an item by a certain amount, and also gives a chance to gain a bonus substat increase. The extra substat is a random and may range from a small increase in one stat to a larger boost in another. It is recommended to concentrate on the top-performing items in your slot first, as they'll provide a greater return on your investment.
You can view the time required to complete an upgrade by opening your inventory and selecting the weapon, ship, or accessory. The upgrade window will show the expected completion date and progress. In certain situations, you might be able speed the process of upgrading by applying an Glyph.
Black Lion Salvage or Ascended Salvage sell a high-level salvage kit which allows you to recover all or part of the upgrade components. However, this does not include legendary equipment or upgrades that can only be retrieved using an Upgrade Extractor or reclaiming them with the corresponding karma merchant.

The upgrade of items rewards players with a range of items and currencies. Every upgrade has a chance of granting an unspecified stat bonus. The amount of bonus value varies between upgrades, and is usually higher for rare items. The Great Vault can be searched by players to determine whether an item is upgradeable. In the process of upgrading, an item will gradually increase to its next level, but won't always reach a fully upgraded bar. This process is based on Growthstones and Sollant but there is a chance of getting an upgraded item within just one cycle. The more levels that an item gains, the higher its stats will be and the more items that can be upgraded.
Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons, or armor to give an attribute bonus or a special effect, while the equipment is being worn. Certain upgrade components also have cosmetic effects. Upgrade components can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors or the Trading Post, looting or receiving them as gifts. Additionally players can retrieve upgraded items by using an Upgrade Extractor or by salvaging them with a high-tier salvage kit. Glyphs that are placed on gathering tools are able to be swapped.
A player can turn an item to upgrade it into another item by selecting it and pressing the green button an arrow that indicates reroll. This will alter the layout of the game and let players select up to six items for "recycling". The item that is recycled can be exchanged for a level 1 item similar to it. Recycled items don't keep their current level or amount of resources needed to upgrade them.
The maximum level of upgrade for an item is determined by the item's level and its quality. Rare items can be upgraded up to a maximum of level six, while Rare and Epic items can be upgraded to level nine. Upgrades to items are added to the base statistics of the item and do not increase after a certain amount.
